About Our Founder: A Vision 30 Years in the Making

Our founder's expertise is underpinned by a distinguished academic career that began with him taking up programming at the age of 16. He cemented this early passion by reading his BSc in Computer Science at Queen Mary College, University of London.

He then strategically pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Business Computing at City University, London, where he was formally trained as a Systems Analyst, deliberately linking technical proficiency with real-world business application and strategy.

This dual expertise culminated in his pioneering research in Artificial Intelligence at Imperial College London, University of London, during the mid-1990s. At a time when Imperial was a global vanguard in computer science, his own research focused on the complex domain of using early neural networks to predict and control chaotic systems.

But he was a visionary in a world that wasn't ready. The ideas were there, but the computational power to realise them was decades away. Frustrated by the limitations of the era, he left the field to apply his strategic mind to the real world, becoming an education consultant, a general manager of a day venue, and an international award-winning property developer.

Now, three decades later, the world has caught up. The conversations he had in the halls of Imperial College are no longer theoretical; they are shaping today's global economy. He has returned to his original passion to finish the mission he started.

AICI is the culmination of this journey. It was founded on a simple, deeply understood truth: many businesses want to use AI, but they don't know where to start. AICI is the answer. It combines the foresight of a true AI pioneer with the pragmatic, real-world wisdom of a seasoned business leader to finally make the promise of AI accessible to all.

The deep, three-tiered theoretical and practical foundation today underpins the entire Otani AI Group and the intelligent systems of the AI Consultant Insights (AICI) ecosystem.
